How to have an inflation sale
With prices up over 9% from a year ago, it seems everyone is starting to freak out about the economy.
But there’s good news. Retail sales actually rose 1% last month in the US. And Amazon just had its biggest Prime Day ever.
Maybe your business has also seen an increase in sales.
Or maybe not…
In either case, you can use inflation to your advantage to make more money.
How do you do that? Well there’s several ways. But the first that comes to mind is having a sale.
People love sales.
Remember how Amazon had its biggest Prime Day ever? During a year with the highest inflation since 1981…
Because they had a huge sale and advertised it like crazy.
And just like Amazon had a reason for their sale (their annual Prime Day), you should too.
The reason for your sale in this case? Inflation.
Think of something like an “anti-inflation sale”.
For example, you could say,
“We hate inflation as much as you. The 9% inflation we just hit is insane. That’s why we’re having an Anti-Inflation Sale. Save 9% off your next order by using coupon code ‘InflationSucks’ at checkout.”
That example may not work for your business, but you get the idea. Find some way to relate inflation to your sale.
Hopefully that gives you some ideas on how to spin inflation to your advantage.
